To perform masterpieces of the chamber music repertoire, and use innovative ways to make classical music accessible to a wider audience.
definition:
Kairos = a Greek word for non-chronological time, those special moments when a child is at play or artists are absorbed in their work, when time seems suspended. Madeleine L'Engle has described kairos as 'time outside time'.
DAY RESIDENCY SERVICE :
The Kairos Quartet coaches advanced student ensembles during the summer at the Kairos Chamber Music Lyceum. Tim Betts is the director.
